Would give 5 stars but I think the sleeve you slide the plates on needs to be a little more robust. I had 4 45lb plates on each side and the sleeves were slightly angled due to the load. I hope this doesn’t shorten the lifespan of the sleeves. Nevertheless it is a great machine especially for those who lift lighter weights.

Unfortunately the total lack of convergence for each swing arm. The fact that you still start out “wide” with shoulders possibly stretched precariously while gripping the horizontal position on the handles. If you start in the vertical hand position on the grips it still doesn’t give in that much in converging movement. Although it’s safer in the initial movement to protect your always vulnerable shoulders. If the grip handles were a little longer say about 5” in the horizontal position it may alleviate this potential uncomfortable and uncertainty starting position. It’s sturdy, structured soundly and good product quality. Otherwise I feel it is a worthy piece of gym equipment that I will continue to utilize it very carefully.

I received my GMWD Chest Press on February 7th.After assembly, I noticed that the left arm had an extremely smooth and secure movement but the right arm was slightly loose with a bit of play in the movement. If both arms were the same, it probably wouldn’t have bothered me but after observing the movement of the left arm, I knew the right arm could be tighter and smoother. I really couldn’t nail down the cause but thought that it could just be an inconsistency in the manufacturing or machining process. I contacted GMWD customer service explaining the situation on February 13th and wasextremely surprised to receive a reply the next day.I felt that a replacement arm could possibly resolve the situation. It did take several e-mails with photos but GMWD customer service contacted me on February 27 to let me know that they had received the part and would be shipping it out the next day. I received the new arm on March 1st., that’s 5 days from China to my door, which I thought was pretty impressive. After installing the new arm, the movement is extremely smooth and exactly like the left arm. I’ve purchased many items off GMWD and this is the first time I’ve felt the need to leave a review. GMWD’s customer service was extremely impressive and should be commended. As far as the chest press machine itself, I’m very satisfied with my purchase. As another reviewer mentioned,I would suggest moving the handles a couple inches closer together. The other reviewer said he was contacted by GMWD with suggestions to resolve the problem, I’d be very interested to learn what those suggestions were.
